Molly checked her watch for the third time in as many minutes, tapping her foot impatiently against the sidewalk. "Where is he? He's never late," she grumbled under her breath. Just as she was about to give up and leave, a rusty old sedan pulled up alongside her and the passenger window rolled down. Bill leaned over, a mischievous grin on his face. "Need a ride, beautiful?" Molly rolled her eyes and climbed into the car. "I swear, if you weren't the best lock picker in town, I'd find someone else to work with." Bill laughed and put the car in gear. "You know you couldn't do this without me, Molly." Molly couldn't argue with that. She was the brains of the operation, but Bill was the one who could get them in and out of any locked space without leaving a trace. "So, are we set for tonight?" Molly asked as they drove towards their target. "I've got the inside scoop on the layout, and I've got a plan that will get us in and out before anyone even notices." Bill nodded. "Sounds good to me. What kind of party are we crashing?" Molly grinned. "A children's birthday party. And let me tell you, the presents are going to be top notch. The birthday boy's dad is some big shot CEO." Bill raised an eyebrow. "A children's party? Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, we're not exactly low-key." Molly waved her hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it. The parents will be too busy trying to keep the kids under control to notice us. Besides, who's going to suspect a couple of adults at a kid's party?" Bill chuckled. "I guess you've got a point." They arrived at the party and Molly scoped out the scene. The presents were piled up high in the corner of the room, just as she had heard they would be. She motioned for Bill to follow her and they made their way over to the far side of the room. "Okay," Molly whispered as they huddled together. "Here's the plan. You create a distraction, and I'll grab the presents and meet you back at the car. We'll be in and out in five minutes." Bill nodded and pulled out a small bag of firecrackers. "I've got just the thing." Molly shook her head. "Subtle, Bill. Real subtle." Bill grinned and lit the firecrackers, tossing them into the middle of the room. As the kids screamed and the parents rushed to see what was happening, Molly quickly grabbed as many presents as she could and ran towards the door. She could hear Bill close behind her, and they both burst out of the house, laughing as they made their way back to the car. "That was too easy," Molly said as they sped away. "I think we need to find a bigger challenge." Bill grinned. "I know just the thing." As they drove off into the night, Molly couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. She loved a good challenge, and she knew that with Bill by her side, there was nothing they couldn't steal.
