Molly leaned against the wall, scanning the brightly lit party venue. "Bill, this is it. The motherlode of all heists." Bill peered over her shoulder, adjusting his bow tie. "A children's birthday party?" "Not just any children's birthday party," Molly corrected him. "This is the Mayor's kid's birthday Bash-a-Palooza. And every present in there is top-shelf, straight from the city's finest toy stores." "But Molly, kids' presents? That's low, even for us." "Come on, Bill. It's a victimless crime. The city's budget can afford it. And think of the resale value!" Bill sighed, scratching his head. "Alright, but how are we going to pull this off without getting caught?" "Leave that to me." Molly pulled a small device from her pocket. "This is a state-of-the-art present detector. It'll lead us straight to the big-ticket items." "And how are we getting past security?" "Ah, that's where our disguises come in." Molly pulled two large, furry bear costumes from her bag. "We're going in as party entertainment." Bill looked at the costumes skeptically. "But won't security recognize us?" "Not if we keep our masks on at all times. Besides, who would suspect two adorable teddy bears?" "I suppose you have a point." Bill reluctantly took the costume from Molly and started to put it on. "But what about the actual heist? Won't the kids notice if we start loading up presents?" Molly grinned mischievously. "That's where our secret weapon comes in. Watch and learn, Bill." She pulled a small remote control from her pocket and pressed a button. Suddenly, a loud, cheerful song filled the air. Bill's eyes widened as he saw a group of kids rushing towards them, excitedly clapping along to the music. "What is this?" "This, my dear Bill, is the power of a catchy tune. Kids can't resist a good dance party. While they're distracted, we slip out the back with the presents." Bill looked skeptical. "But won't they notice when their presents are gone?" "By the time they realize the presents are missing, we'll be long gone. And besides, they'll be so hopped up on cake and candy, they won't even care." Bill chuckled. "Alright, Molly. You've convinced me. Let's do this." The two thieves put on their masks and stepped into the party, blending in with the other costumed entertainers. Molly led the way, using her present detector to guide them towards the biggest and most expensive-looking gifts. As they approached the gift table, Molly pressed the button on her remote control, starting the music once again. The kids cheered and rushed towards them, forming a circle around the two thieves. Molly and Bill quickly loaded up their bags with presents while the kids danced around them, oblivious to the theft taking place. When they were finished, they made their way towards the exit. Just as they were about to make their getaway, a security guard stepped in front of them. "Hey! Where do you think you're going with those bags?" Molly quickly pressed the button on her remote control once again, and the music started up for a third time. The guard looked around, confused, as the kids once again rushed towards the two thieves. Molly and Bill took the opportunity to slip past him, disappearing into the night with their precious loot in tow. As they made their way back to their hideout, Bill turned to Molly with a grin. "You know, Molly, you might just be a criminal mastermind." Molly chuckled. "Why thank you, Bill. I do try my best."
