Molly and Bill crouched in the shadows, peering through the window of the brightly lit party room. Balloons and streamers hung from the ceiling, and children darted around in costumes, shrieking with laughter. A table piled high with presents sat in the corner. "Alright, we've got one shot at this," Molly whispered. "The parents are distracted with the cake. We slip in, grab the presents, and get out before anyone notices." Bill furrowed his brow. "But those are kids' presents. You sure this is worth it?" "Trust me, I've done my research," Molly replied. "That birthday boy's dad is loaded. He's loaded the presents with cash and jewelry. It's a gold mine." Bill raised an eyebrow. "And how do you know this?" Molly grinned. "Let's just say I have a friend in the catering company." Bill shook his head. "Only you could turn a children's party into a heist." "What can I say? I'm a professional," Molly said with a wink. "Now, are you in or out?" Bill sighed. "Alright, let's do it. But we'd better make it quick." Molly nodded and the two of them slipped through the window, careful to avoid the prying eyes of the partygoers. They crept towards the table of presents, hearts pounding in their chests. Just as they were about to grab the first gift, a small hand tugged on Molly's sleeve. "Hey, those are our presents!" a little girl cried. Molly froze. "Uh, hi there. I was just... admiring them." The little girl eyed her suspiciously. "You're not a robber, are you?" Molly laughed nervously. "No, of course not. Why would you think that?" The little girl squinted. "Because you match the description of the robbers my dad told us about." Molly's eyes widened. "Well, I assure you, we're not robbers. We're... magicians!" The little girl's eyes lit up. "Really? Can you do a trick?" Molly glanced over at Bill, who was frantically gesturing for her to hurry up. "Uh, sure. How about this?" Molly said, quickly grabbing a present and pulling a handkerchief out of her pocket. "Watch closely, I'm going to make this present disappear!" She quickly stuffed the present under her coat and tied the handkerchief around it, making it look like a bundle. The little girl's eyes went wide with amazement. "Wow, that's amazing!" she exclaimed. "Thanks," Molly said, winking. "You know, we'd better get going. We have more tricks to perform." The little girl nodded, still mesmerized by Molly's trick. Molly and Bill slipped out of the room, clutching their stolen loot tightly. "Well, that was close," Bill said. "A little too close," Molly agreed. "But we got the presents, and that's all that matters." "Was that really necessary?" Bill asked. "The whole magician thing?" "Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures," Molly replied with a grin. "Besides, you have to admit, it was a pretty good trick." "I guess so," Bill conceded. "But let's hope we don't have to use it again anytime soon."
