Molly perched on the edge of the hotel bed, her eyes fixed on the crude map of the party venue spread out before her. Bill lounged on the couch, his fingers drumming a restless rhythm on the armrest. "Alright, so we've got the clown entrance here, the bouncy castle there, and the present table smack in the middle," Molly said, her voice low and smooth. "Sounds like a real challenge," Bill drawled. "I mean, who needs alarms and guards when you've got screaming kids and sugar-fueled chaos?" Molly shot him a look. "Hey, don't underestimate the power of a good bounce house. That thing is a security nightmare." Bill snorted. "I'm shaking in my boots. So, what's the plan of attack?" "Well, I was thinking we slip in during the piñata segment. Everyone's distracted, and we make a grab for the presents." "Presents, plural? You know we're not getting out of there with more than one or two, right? Those kids are going to be on those gifts like piranhas on a cow carcass." Molly wrinkled her nose. "That's a lovely image, thanks for that. But we can make it work. We just need to create a diversion." "I've got just the thing," Bill said, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I've been practicing my clown skills. I can honk the horn, squirt some water, and we're golden." Molly raised an eyebrow. "You're going to dress up as a clown?" "Hey, it's a solid disguise. Who doesn't love a good clown?" "I don't know, people who are terrified of clowns?" Bill waved a hand. "Pffft, coulrophobics are just party poopers. Besides, I've got the perfect makeup to go with the wig and nose. I'm like a method actor, only instead of Oscars, I'm going for Most Likely to Traumatize a Child." Molly shook her head, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. "You're impossible. But hey, if it gets us in and out with the loot, I'm all for it." "Exactly. Now, let's go over the schedule one more time. We hit the party at two, make our move during the piñata segment at two-fifteen, and are out the door by two-thirty with our arms full of presents." "Sounds like a plan," Molly said, her eyes glinting with excitement. "And after we fence the goods, we can treat ourselves to a nice dinner and a quiet night in, sans clown noses and screaming children." Molly let out a low laugh. "You're really selling me on this whole 'life of crime' thing, Bill." He grinned, a mischievous spark dancing in his eyes. "Hey, that's what partners are for. Now let's get to work on that clown costume. I've got some very important traumatizing to do."
