The conference room was a drab, beige-colored space with a table that seemed to stretch on forever. Molly and Bill sat on opposite sides, surrounded by stacks of files and notes, their eyes scanning the floor plans of the target location. The Children's Party Palace, a sprawling complex of bouncy castles and sugar-high screams, was where they aimed to strike. Molly drummed her fingers on the table, her eyes fixed on a rendering of the party room layout. "Okay, we're in. We've got the timing, the disguise, the expertise. What could possibly go wrong?" Bill snorted, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Only one thing, my friend: the cake. Have you seen the pictures of that monstrosity? It's a sugar-encrusted behemoth. If we set it off during the heist, it's curtains for us." Molly narrowed her eyes. "We've got a three-minute window to grab the presents, Bill. No cake-stealing distractions allowed." They both leaned in, studying the diagram. Molly pointed to a section marked " Candy Floss Machine." "What's the status on that thing? Can we disable it?" Bill nodded. "I've got Vinnie working on the schematics. He thinks he can disable the stabilizer, render it useless." Molly scribbled some notes on her pad. "Alright, so once we're in, we move to the presents, neutralize the cake, disable the candy floss... What's the play if we encounter the party mascot?" Bill raised an eyebrow. "The mascot, huh?" Molly's face took on a completely serious expression. "We have a contingency plan, of course. If we spot the mascot, we grab a few balloons, do a quick dance, and then...no, wait. I've got it. We do the 'whoopee cushion.' Bill, do you remember the method I taught you?" Bill paused, a crease appearing on his forehead. "Uh... wasn't it just the sound of my armpit crossing?" Molly launched herself out of her chair, nearly knocking over her bag and the files. "Bill! How could you! That's completely wrong! It's supposed to be your shoes making the whoopee sound!" Bill shook his head, grinning. "Ah, of course. I remember now. It's ancient whoopee-cushion ritual procedure. Foot placement and sonic camouflage. I took the wrong seminar." Molly shook her head, chuckling, which turned into a full-on laugh. Between fits of laughter, Bill leaned forward, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Alright, let's save the how-to on stealth footwear for the drive home. Stay focused, Molly. We've got presents to steal." Molly rubbed her eyes, composed herself with a sigh. "Right, yes. The presents." She made another note on her pad, muttering to herself about making sure they grabbed the best toys. "I hope they have those air-powered Blasters in stock... Little Stevie is going to be so disappointed..."
