The sun beat down on the crowded parking lot, a sea of minivans and SUVs sporting obscenely large balloons and inflatable unicorns. Molly and Bill stood outside a bright pink banner that read "Happy 6th Birthday Timmy!" in glittery letters. "Alright, here's the plan," Molly said, consulting a blueprint of the party venue. "We slip in through the kitchen, avoiding the eyes of the harried party parents. Once inside, we snake into the living room, making a beeline for the presents." Bill scratched his nose. "What's the exact strategy for present-gathering?" Molly smirked. "We grab the big-ticket items—LeapFrog toys, Pokémon cards, Lego sets—leaving behind the lesser goodies like bubbles and crayons. We're not here to sabotage the party, just make a decent score." Bill snickered. "And what about the kid's mom? She's bound to freak when she discovers the loot's gone." Molly patted the blueprint. "She's distracted by the Piñata-Fu fight between the seven-year-olds and the photo booth ops. I've programmed her away from the living room for at least 20 minutes." Bill whistled. "Molly, you're a regular Q. What about security?" Molly pointed to a smudge on the blueprint, near the sliding glass door. "Our entry point has a nice cover of a half-crippled cat. The owner's allergic, and she'll be inside giving Benadryl to the birthday boy shortly." Bill squinted at the blueprint. "I see what you mean. She's like a gift in herself." Molly elbowed Bill, stifling a laugh. "Focus, Bill. The real challenge is the candy drop. Timmy's sister has rigged it to—" Bill waved his hand. "Save it, I get the drill. Expensive treats in a decorated bucket. We tap the lid, right?" Molly shot him a quizzical look. "You know the drill, Bill. We jam the lid shut, trap the cookies, and grab the prize. Simple." Bill smacked his hands together. "Okay, got it. Let's break it down: in and out, cookie-jamming, present-snatching—under 17 minutes. We're getting some serious efficiency points on this one." Molly grinned. "No prize money without swift execution, partner. Time to put the 'Party' in 'Party Crashers'." The pink birthday banner, once a warning beacon, now shone like a beacon of promise to a life of dubious notoriety for the two thieves.
