Molly, a wiry woman with eyes like Christmas lights, was perched on the rundown apartment's window sill, a mug of steaming coffee in hand. Bill, her hefty partner in crime, sat on the couch, a half-eaten pizza slice drooping in his grasp. "Alright, Bill," Molly began, "I've found our next job. A kid's birthday party. Little Timmy Westerfeld. Turns five this Saturday." Bill raised an eyebrow. "A kid's party, Mol? Really? We're thieves, not monsters." Molly waved a dismissive hand. "Relax, it's not like we're stealing their puppy. We're after the presents. Kid's got rich parents, they'll buy him new ones." Bill sighed, putting down his pizza. "I don't know, Mol. Seems... low." Molly hopped off the sill, eyes sparkling. "Come on, Bill! It's a victimless crime. Besides, it's a challenge. It's at their fancy mansion, broad daylight, lots of people. We need a plan." Bill groaned, but Molly saw the hint of a smile. "Alright, what's the layout?" Molly pulled out a crumpled paper from her pocket and unfolded it to reveal a crude map. "Big house, big backyard. Party's in the back. Presents will be on a table near the bouncy castle." Bill studied the map, frowning. "How do we get in without being seen?" Molly grinned. "We don't. We blend in. I'll be the kids' entertainer. You'll be the caterer." Bill looked horrified. "Caterer? Molly, I can't cook!" Molly laughed. "You won't have to. We'll bring pre-made stuff. Just need to look the part." Bill rubbed his chin, considering. "And how do we make our exit with the presents?" Molly's grin widened. "Ever seen a magician's table? Lots of hidden compartments. I'll have a special 'magic' table. We load the presents in, perform a 'grand finale', and poof! We're gone." Bill chuckled, shaking his head. "Only you, Molly, could turn a kids' party into a grand heist." Molly winked. "That's why you love working with me, Bill. Now come on, we've got costumes to prepare and a magic show to rehearse." Bill stood up, brushing pizza crumbs off his shirt. "Fine. But if I have to make balloon animals, you're on your own." Molly laughed, clapping him on the back. "Deal, partner. Now let's go make some magic."
