Molly and Bill huddled together in the faded red booth of the rundown diner, a map of the suburbs sprawled out between them. Molly, a petite woman with eyes as sharp as her pixie cut, tapped her finger on a house marked with a big red X. "This is it, Bill. The party starts at 2 PM. We'll hit it at 2:30, just when the magic show starts. Kids will be distracted, parents will be bored out of their minds." Bill, a lanky man with a nose like a Roman emperor, frowned. "But Molly, it's a kids' party. Are we really stealing from kids?" Molly rolled her eyes. "We're not stealing from kids, Bill. We're stealing from their spoiled rotten, trust fund parents. Besides, these kids have more toys than they know what to do with. We're just... redistributing the wealth." Bill sighed, running a hand through his thinning hair. "And what exactly are we looking for? Barbie's Dream House? The latest Lego set?" Molly grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "The latest tech gadgets, Bill. Kids these days get iPads for their birthdays. And those are easy to sell." Bill raised an eyebrow. "And how do you propose we blend in? We're not exactly the 'soccer mom' and 'dad bod' types." Molly chuckled, pulling out a flyer from her bag. "The party's theme is 'Superheroes and Villains'. We'll go as the latter. I've got costumes ready." Bill groaned. "Molly, I'm not dressing up as a clown or something ridiculous like that." Molly laughed, patting his hand. "Don't worry, Bill. I've got you pegged as the perfect Joker to my Harley Quinn." Bill looked horrified. "But Molly, the Joker wears makeup!" Molly shrugged. "It's either that or the Penguin. And believe me, you don't want to be waddling around in this heat." Bill grumbled, crossing his arms. "Fine. But if anyone asks, I'm only doing this because you promised me a cut of the profits." Molly smiled, folding up the map. "That's the spirit, Bill. Now come on, we've got a party to crash." As they slid out of the booth, Bill muttered, "I still think we should've gone for the bank job." Molly just laughed, linking her arm with his. "Where's your sense of adventure, Bill? Besides, who needs a bank when you can have a whole toy store at your fingertips?" And with that, they stepped out into the sunlight, ready to become the most unwelcome guests at the party of the year.
