"Alright, Bill, let's go over the plan one more time," Molly whispered as they crouched behind the hedge, the sound of squealing kids carrying over from the backyard. "Sure thing, Molly," Bill replied, peering over to get a glimpse of the colorful chaos. "We sneak in during the magic show. Everyone's eyes will be glued to the magician. Kids love that stuff." "And what exactly is your role again?" Molly asked, arching an eyebrow. "I'm the distraction, remember? I've got this perfectly planned. I'll trip over the magician’s box of tricks, scatter his cards everywhere, and make a big fuss." Molly nodded, tapping her fingers on her chin. "Right, right. Make sure you do it dramatically. We need all eyes off the gift table." Bill smirked. "They'll be so focused on me, they'd give me an Oscar if this were a movie." "Less movie talk, more focus, please," Molly advised. "And while you’re pulling off your Oscar-winning performance, I'll slip around the side, grab the presents, and get them into the big, black duffel.” "Why can't I carry the presents? I bet I could juggle a few of them while entertaining," Bill suggested with a grin. "Because you’d more likely drop them on your foot and end up being the clown instead of the distraction," Molly retorted. "Ouch. That hurts," Bill replied, clutching his heart theatrically. "Fine, fine. So, while I'm causing chaos, you're grabbing gifts. But what about the noise? Those wrappers can be pretty crinkly." Molly chuckled. "Crinkly? Really, Bill? Don't worry about that. With the music and magic, nobody will notice a few crinkles. Just make sure you keep them busy for a good five minutes." "You got it, partner," Bill said, cracking his knuckles. "I can keep them entertained for ages." "Five minutes, Bill. Not ages. We’re not here to put on a Broadway show," Molly reminded. "Ah, but wouldn't that be something?” Bill mused. “The Amazing Molly and Bill’s Present Extravaganza." Molly rolled her eyes, though a smile tugged at her lips. "Focus. Do you have the duffel ready?" "Right here," Bill confirmed, patting the bag at his side. "Ready to fill it with colorful loot." "And you remember the code for the gate in case we need a quick escape, right?"
