Molly shifted uncomfortably among the bushes outside the house, sweat collecting on her brow as she watched the front door from their position of concealment. "Still no sign of the parents?" Molly asked. Bill shook his head. "Not yet, but they always come back in a few minutes to drop off Noelle's friends." Molly sighed. "I dunno, Bill. This whole plan is starting to feel like a Lost episode full of MacGuffins. Why go to all this trouble just to steal kids' party presents? It's not like we need the money." Bill grinned, displaying crooked teeth. "It's the thrill, Molly! An adrenaline kick on par with that time we cleaned out the Vatican vaults." Molly rolled her eyes. "That was easy for you - you're Catholic! You just chilled with St. Peter and had a white wine spritzer." Bill feigned offense. "Oh, so hijacking the ol' gang************************************ to roast marshmallows is something I would do because of my heritage?" Molly looked at him. "Yeah, that's exactly what you did." Bill huffed and checked his glock. "Look, just trust me on this one, okay? The payoff is worth it." "Fine, fine," Molly relented, throwing up her hands. "Just turn off your phone - I can't hear myself think." Bill looked quizzical. "My phone?" "Oh, did you not get the memo?" Molly asked. "No technology within a half-mile radius to avoid detection." Bill carefully removed his phone case and broke it into pieces. "Oh. Okay. I just thought you were being an ice queen." "I'm not," Molly said angrily. "I just hate technology." "What about ... " Bill waved his hands animatedly. "All the stuff that is actually on your phone? Like, I don't know, Your Mom Radio 42shmallows?" Molly blushed. "I don't know, it was a joke. Can we focus on the mission?" Bill shrugged. "Sure thing, Boss Moll. Let's go in." The two slid through history and walked towards the kitchen. Bill crouched and opened the door. A small girl ran up and hugged him. "Oh, Gizmo!" the imposter said. "I can't believe you made it!" Bill winked and said, "I can't believe you'd be in this hotspot instead at home reading Hannah Montana books, kiddo." Noelle stomped her foot. "I'm the Police Commissioner for the Noelle-Catch-The-Bad-Guys, Inc. You don't know my powers and I'm not trapped in here!" Bill shook Noelle off. "I don't care," he told her. "We're the bad guys and I won't take your lectures. Now tell me where the presents are!" Noelle burst into tears. "I'm not telling you!" she protested. Bill tried to go into the kitchen but Molly stopped him. He craned over her shoulder to look at the presents waiting patiently upon the table. "Tell your kids to wait," he said to the Police Commissioner. "We'll have their gifts out under twenty minutes and the Christmas vennium will be returned to the manufacturer, by God."
