The bell above the door jingled, breaking the quiet hum of the bakery. "Morning, Edith," a voice greeted, a hint of worry lacing the words. Edith looked up from the counter, wiping her flour-covered hands on her apron. "Morning, dear. What can I get you today?" The customer hesitated, eyes darting towards the display case. "Um, just a coffee. And, uh, could you... could you tell me about the blackberry pie?" Edith's eyebrows furrowed. "The blackberry pie?" "Yes," the customer said quickly, then sighed.
