Molly adjusted her fedora, the feather bobbing as she nodded. "Alright, Bill, here's the gig. We waltz into this kiddie shindig, blend in with the parents, and snatch those presents quicker than a magpie on a shiny button." Bill frowned, adjusting his fake mustache. "Blend in? Have you seen us? We scream 'professional party crashers.'" Molly rolled her eyes. "That's why we need disguises. I got us some hideous sweaters, the kind only a grandma could love. We'll wear 'em over our black gear. Top it off with some goofy hats, and we'll be practically invisible." Bill shook his head. "I still say this is the dumbest plan you've ever come up with." Molly held up a finger. "Dumbest? I beg to differ. Remember that time we tried to rob the mime convention? Now that was dumb." Bill chuckled despite himself. "Touché. Okay, fine. What's the plan once we're inside?" Molly leaned in, lowering her voice. "We mingle, act natural, you know the drill. I'll keep an eye out for the big presents, the ones the little brats are probably eyeing. You, my friend, will be on gift bag duty." Bill raised an eyebrow. "Gift bag duty? That sounds... glamorous." Molly winked. "Don't underestimate the gift bag, Bill. It's where the real treasures are hidden. The little trinkets, the sugary snacks, the sentimental junk no parent wants to throw away. A good gift bag is a gold mine." Bill snorted. "Fine, I'll be the gift bag whisperer. But what if some nosy parent starts asking questions?" Molly patted her pocket, where a handful of crayons and a sparkly sticker book were visible. "We play the part. We're just overgrown kids, here for the free cake and the sugary drinks. We love kids, we love parties, we love presents." She shrugged. "It's foolproof." Bill snorted again. "Foolproof, she says. Have you met us?" Molly smiled sweetly. "We're professionals, Bill. We got this." The two thieves exchanged a look, then burst into laughter. Despite the absurdity of the plan, there was a certain thrill to the insanity of it all. Molly clapped her hands.
