"We go in through the back, keep it quiet, and grab the presents. Easy." Molly raised an eyebrow. "Simple? You call breaking into a kid's birthday party 'simple'?" "Think about it, Molly," he insisted. "Everyone's distracted, the parents are busy, and the kids are too busy opening presents to notice us. It's the perfect opportunity." Molly sighed. "You've got a point, but what about security?" Bill waved a hand dismissively. "Security? Please. It's a children's party. Maybe a babysitter or two. We'll be in and out before they know what hit them." Molly considered this for a moment, then nodded. "Fine. But I'm driving the getaway car. You're a terrible driver, Bill." Bill chuckled. "Hey, I've gotten us out of some tight spots, haven't I?" "Only because I talked you through it," Molly shot back, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Let's get this over with," she said, nodding towards the community center. Bill grinned. "After you, my dear." They crossed the street, their footsteps silent against the pavement. The sound of laughter and children's music drifted through the open windows, mixing with the scent of cake and sweaty bodies. Molly nodded towards a door marked "Staff Only." "There," she hissed. "That's our way in." Bill nodded, and together they slipped inside the building. The corridor was dimly lit, lined with doors leading to various rooms. They moved silently, their senses alert for any sign of trouble. "This way," Bill whispered, nodding towards a door at the end of the hall. They pushed through, finding themselves in a storage room crammed with boxes and party decorations. Molly's eyes fell on a stack of brightly wrapped presents in the corner. "Bingo," she said softly, grabbing a box and tucking it under her arm. Bill chuckled. "Smooth as silk." They worked quickly, stuffing presents into their bags. "The birthday girl won't mind, will she?" The woman's mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. Molly grabbed her arm and steered her towards the door. "Don't worry, we'll be gone in a flash," she said, pushing the woman out into the hall. They heard her stumbling footsteps fade away as they disappeared back into the storage room.
