"Ahem, excuse me," someone said, startling the baker in the middle of piping icing onto an elaborate cake. She turned around to see a middle-aged man standing in the doorway, his cheeks flushed and his eyes wide. "Yes? Something I can help you with, sir?" The baker replied, trying to keep the irritation out of her voice. "It's...YOUR brother," he said, his voice trembling. "Jim. Well, Jazer.mi, I guess. I'm a friend of his from childhood. I just found his body in the park." The baker's eyes went wide and the spatula slipped from her hand, clattering on the floor. "What...When? How? Oh my god!" She turned around blindly, grabbing a nearby apron to wipe her hands. "About an hour ago. Like I said, I'm friends with Jim, we played baseball together. We ran into each other yesterday at the pub. He seemed fine then--the same as he always has been, you know? Can't believe this happened. It's all over town now--" He shook his head. "Sorry to be the one to tell you.
