Molly sat grinning at Bill from across the table, her green eyes glittering mischievously in the low light of his cluttered apartment. "Why are we targeting kids' birthday parties, Bill? You always say we need to raise our game, points across the board, you know." "It's a challenge," Bill said lightly, rotating a cigar between his fingertips. "A challenge? You can't catch any bigger fish, though. No one expects us to break into birthday godsdamn kids' parties for their birthday cake and presents. Our reputation, Bill. We're professional thieves, not jerks." "Smile, more spring out of our pockets," he grunted, eyes never lifting from the piles of money on the table. "Molly, this one will be easier than they all have been. Easy money, inside job." "You haven't shared the details of the job yet, that's all. Do we know who's hosting the party? When it's happening?" She traced a line on the table, her finger leaving a cobalt streak. "At my sister's house, late next Friday night. Tons of presents snatched in one go. Stay in the shadows, gone in and out, you got this." "In and out, got it," she muttered. "Oh, and um, one more thing," Bill said, verbalizing erupts him up. "Oh yeah? Spill," she replied. "This is no laughing matter. I've been thinking about you lately. You ever think about settling down or getting a regular job or something?" Molly snorts and rolls her eyes, glob scared the remains of her drink. "I mean it. You're my favorite safe of all time now. If I was that technician hiring you to vault away every single week, I had you top on the list. Reliable." "You're not getting any younger, you know. Picked my brain, thought change the subject." "Well, just keep in mind... Eventually I'll click the 'end the contract' button there. I don't want that day. Capiche?" "Capiche," she replied, finishing off her drink and sloppily placing the empty glass on the table. "Aight then, I think we have a plan. I'll see you next Friday. All-In's off." "All-In? You still got All-In's?" "Yeah, my favorite safe." "Well, whoop-de-fucking-doo. Go be a donkey on safari sometime, this month, and give All-In a tour." Molly stood tall, tucked her oversized biker jacket closer around her. She grabbed her money and threw a final glance around the room. "Catch you later, my friend." "As-of-yet Wild-Cat. Let's get some air ready to move."
