"So, uh, I fairly certain it's not against the law to steal from kids, is it?" Bill asked as they crept through the shadowy alley behind the suburban home. "Easy there, Mr. Innocent Heart. This isn't our first rodeo remember," Molly shot back as she relieved him of the fake Gigabyte backpack. "Right. Sorry. Just precognition about these sleepy suburban types, I guess. Rich people always have those fearsome security systems." "Oh, Kid. The worst security system I've ever seen at a kid's house is a guard dog and an alarm system. We've got this." "Yeah, I've always loved how anyone can buy one of those things and suddenly have initials after their name. 'Classic Tahoe, Jess. Esq.'" Bill snorted. "Oh, honey, Jess has been married before." "Even better then. Someday we can rob them, not just the kid at the party today." They crept up the snowy walkway as Bill wore high heels to slip into the driveway. "This is it? We're already inside." "Okay, we'd better move this thing quick. We haven't even been in here five minutes. Jess probably still has to tie her corsage." They entered the house to see Jess essentially making out with the father in the living room. "Hey, hey! Break it up!" she snapped, turning and slapping him. "Oh my God! Jess!" the father pleaded. "You ruined it!" "Don't get it twisted, bub. I swear that I'm going to kill you. In fact, I think I will." Jess pulled out a revolver and waved it around. "How was I supposed to know you were married?" Jess shouted. The father's eyes were large as he dove out the sliding glass door. Jess followed in a flurry of shots as she ran outside, trying to escape Molly and Bill's wrath. Molly gasped. "Oh my God, Jess... we didn't tell you!" "You think I'm stupid?" the man snapped, pulling out his cell phone. "Call the police!" "You shot at me!" Jess shouted as the dress sleeved from her shoulders. "This is mental!" the man shouted back as he stared at Jess. "Molly, call the police!" Molly looked at her blankly and hung up. "Sure." "Jess, we can talk about this like-" The man's voice was drowned out by Tara as she came up behind him and screamed, tossing the wooden nutmeg into his face. "JESSI!" Molly screamed. Jess jumped and panicked, stumbling backwards, accidentally letting go of her gun as it went off. The man dove. Screams were heard from inside the house as Molly's earpiece began to buzz wildly. "What's going on?" a voice crackled. "It's a whole thing," Molly replied. "Okay," the voice said, before cutting off completely. The father moved, shooting an arrow at Jess before she grabbed her gun again and shot it out of his hand. With a swift roar, Maddox turned and threw the wooden nutmeg right at her face again with all his might. The sound was like a muted Zen scratching sound as Tara injected poison into Jeff's brain with a syringe she pulled out into thin air with telekinesis. He collapsed instantly and fell to the snowy ground with a soft thud. "I must act fast before Jess wins again," Tara said to herself as she jumped in front of Jess. "I'm Tara!" Jess kept screaming as a blue light covered her body before fading into oblivion. "She was way cooler than she used to be?" she murmured to herself. "Sean?" Tara called out. In the distance, a pale man appeared at the gate. "Act natural, Cait!" she said. "Oh," he replied. "Hey Jess!" He looked up suspiciously at Tara who quickly ran up to him. "Hey, I've been looking every-" "Oh no! Look out, Jess!" Tara shouted as a slow-looking gray lady came up behind Sean and slit his throat with her thumb. This Janet had been harmless. A former lover of Sean's from long ago, Janet has waited his whole life for him. That's better than anything in the world, right?
