"I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this, Bill," Molly said, nervously twisting her hair into a ponytail as she studied the schematics of the foozle shopping center. "It's a bit too easy," she said. There was a knock at the door causing her to yelp in surprise. She opened the door to reveal a tall man with a postcard of Venice in his hand. "Hey," he said, waving the postcard. "Molly?" "Maggie actually," she replied. "Who might you be?" "Bill. Bill Richardson. The detective. I thought it was you." The detective stepped inside and closed the door behind him. He pulled out a police badge. "Cut the shit," the detective said. "Are you up or aren't you?" he asked, his eyes hard. Molly's heart raced as fear took hold for the first time. He held the badge up again. "Sleep tight," he said as he walked outside. "See you later, Maggie." He closed the door with his foot. Molly let out the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. "Well, that's a fine how-do-you-do," she said, shaking her head. "He seems nice." Bill grumbled and continued planning the job. The core of their plan was simple - hostage the children's party at the foozle shopping center on Saturday before the new council meeting. If the council didn't meet, then the shopping center would remain the property of the community, planned to be demolished and rebuilt into anything that wasn't a developers dream.
