Molly and Bill sat huddled in their dingy warehouse hideout, surrounded by crumpled notes and crude diagrams, planning their most daring caper yet. "Okay, so let's go over this again," Bill said, running a hand through his greasy hair. "We hit the party after the clown leaves, right? They're usually done and gone by 2 PM." Molly nodded, her red ponytail bobbing back and forth as she studied the rough layout of the venue on the table. "Yeah, that's when things are happening. The kids will be distracted by the bouncy castle and the dog show." She pointed to a low wall on the far side of the property. "We scale this wall and slip in through the garden shed. It's the easiest entry point." Bill scratched his pockmarked cheek, frowning. "I ain't afraid of no puny wall but I thought the Wi-Fi was only turned on during events." He shifted uncomfortably, adjusting his baseball cap. Molly glared. "It is. That's why we're dressed as bearded ladies. We'll blend right in, see?" Bill sighed, mopping his sweaty brow. It was hot in the room. "As bearded ladies. Right. So, after we slip in, where do we go?" "Second floor, past the changing rooms. The presents are always stored in a closet off to the left on that floor. Last event we scoped, they had about thirty gifts," Molly said confidently, crossing her legs and pulling up her sweatpants as she gestured. "High end toys and tech. Easy to fence." Bill licked his lips. "Good. So we grab the loot and exit the same way. This Wi-Fi inlet..." he pointed, "isn't a problem?" "That's the beauty part." Molly beamed. "It turns off thirty minutes after the clown leaves. Gives us a window to use it and be gone." Bill nodded slowly. "Clever. Little busybody Mrs. Smith won't suspect a thing." He shook his head disapprovingly. "You'd think she'd've learned after last year." A cold sweat broke out on Molly's blubbery pale skin. "Yeah well, pride before a fall, right?" The last party heist hadn't gone off hiccup-free. Bill was caught on the bouncy castle and Mrs. Smith nabbed Molly trying to sneak out with her husband's signed copy of The Shawshank Redemption. "I ever tell you I'm related to Mrs. Smith?" Mandal reckoned quietly, rolling the Mason jar in his skeletal hands. "No." Molly paused, mocking hurt in her voice. "Care to reveal how? Last name too similar to be coincidence." "My mothers cousin, a union rep who once raised funds as a clown, *Lawrence Smith*. I shived hift." Presently innocence shone in Bill's eyes as he went on. "First party I found out. All hail, happiness!" Molly bitterly rolled her owlish eyes. "I never even." "Yeah, no. *Yourstoff his wifes* wig then eh?" Bill shifted sittng crosslegged on wet table into a iguel_position. Black eyes shifted significantly to Molly. "Edit note: So you *hit* your cousin?" Molly flushe her cples. "Ccs that husband!"
