Molly eyed the window of the large, gaudy house. "So, what's the score on this place?" Bill adjusted his burglar’s mask and scanned the street. "Seems we lucked out - birthday party for the little tyke of the house. Full of rich brat presents just begging to be snatched." "Hell of a way to get Christmas presents, but I like the approach." "Hell, the thieving is just half the fun, it's the principle I love. Here's all these spoiled snot noses with parents who buy 'em whatever they want, and we swoop in and snatch the party." "Well, why we doing this, partner?" "Why, I'll get a kick outta it." "A worthy enough reason." Molly grinned and crouched closer. "Alright, here's the plan. We can slip in those windows, snag the gift pile. Easy in and out." "Yea, sounds doable." Bill pulled out his lockpicks. "I'm gonna do the safe. Valuables are the real prize." "Sounds fine to me." They slipped the lock and crept through the window. Molly teetered along the wall, aiming for the playroom with the pile of colorful boxes. "Daaaadddy!" rang out from downstairs. "Bill!" Molly hissed. Bill froze, being visible from the stairs. "Daaaaddy, could you get me another juice box?" A tiny shape scurried into view. Bill pushed himself against the wall, just avoiding view of the woman going down the stairs. "Holy crap!" he squeaked. Molly peeked, swallowed. "Ok, that's a girl and a woman. The man…” she risked darting a glance around the corner. The kid sulked down the stairs, cradling a stuffed bear, and he and the woman walked into the kitchen. "Ok, still undetected." "Close one splash of the water, Molly girl!" Bill announced. "Sure…use a box of cereal for a shield as you clip the safe, Cap! And I’ll just slip past with the presents!" "If there was another unpaid secuirty camera system, you'd be in for a waking nightmare!" "I took the chance we don't get tagged!" "Oh man, you done reminded me, Molly girl - forget the gifts, get to the door serving hall safe and have a drink ready for me! Radio them churches to put a toe tag on a the guard's itching babies while you're there." "Wha?" "Are you hiking?" "There must be ants in his speaking!" Molly exclaimed. The man emerged from the kitchen with a juice carton, and Bill nodded for Molly, goading her to start. Molly collected her breath and darted, waddling and wagging her derierre as she moved to the stairs. Bill earned a out of the corner of his eyesight and went the other direction, behind the couch for the hallway stairs. He chuckled to himself and mouthed a laugh. "Way to smooth it! Bet she makes those presents she wanted!" "Molly will dangle her wings for whatever!" Bill thought to himself. Bill’s eyes followed Molly's boot until that licked her foot back onto the mat, up to the escaped still of the party room. Molly clung to the doorframe step her throat to open mouth. "I think I got something!" "Oh man! You came through!" Bill tested his newfound lock. Molly crept to the table near the window. "Can you explain it? You don't need a professional!" "You got heart!" Bill exclaimed. smouth shook his shoulder and unrolled the hinges. "I realize I can go back with learning it." "Peak at the stuff up there!" Bill said. "Looks good Molly," he thought to himself. As Molly closed her palms on the black tiara, a chubby little arm extended up from a chair and surveyed the bedroom. "MOLLY!?" it said. "Shh." Molly scowled over the lock. "Its Molly!" It staggered toward her and, and wrapped Molly’s leg with its drool incited hand. "Can you even tell if the kid holds you?" Bill slung a wall behind the door. Molly inhaled. She tightened her right hand as a little more as her thumb came up in her left hand. "Im just engiuneering it," Bill explained and continued to reflect his conversation the lock. Molly struggled against the squirming kid until his lock fell free. "Thats it! You got it!" "Great! For me?" "Pffffft no." Molly obviously said. "That’s silver. Work the safe!" "I got this!" Bill performed. After three seconds, they finished the bathroom and ran out the window; Molly found herself smiling about it.
