Bill leaned over the fence, his binoculars pressed tightly against his face as he peeked at the house across the street. He adjusted his fedora, making sure not to let it slip over his eyes, which would have ruined his carefully crafted "I'm a good dude, no, I'm watching your party for no reason" vibe. "See anything?" Molly asked, her blonde ponytail curved over the top of the fence as she peeked over from the building's shadow. "Not yet," Bill replied, swinging the binoculars from person to person. "Seven little kids, three adults. It looks like they're announcing the piƱata." "Old school," Molly chuckled, smiling. "Remember when we used to hit those things blindfolded?" "Those were the days," Bill said with a chuckle, lowering the binoculars. "Alright, I've counted the presents. Looking at about twelve boxes in that pile." "Enough to keep our kids at home for quite a while," Molly mused, pulling a strand of hair behind her ear. "Okay, so the lock on the sliding glass door? We've got that covered?" "Easy enough," Bill said, tapping his leather-gloved hand against his back pocket. "Simple latch. I can have it open in less than three seconds." "Three seconds?" Molly asked, raising her eyebrows. "Breaking your promise of 'Two Seconds or Less,' eh?" "Hey, it's not the number, it's the way you do it," Bill said with a smirk. "And trust me, by the time they're getting to the cake, our present heist will be long over." "Okay, okay," Molly said. "Alright, so we wander in, everybody sees us. We carry the presents out--one, two, three, four. Five seconds per trip at most." "That's assuming we're not going Black Friday," Bill joked, straightening himself up. "Hey, didn't like that one m'self," Molly said, sticking out her tongue playfully. "Okay, let's be real. We oughtta prep for the pinata." "Right. Who do you think gets to take it?" "Alright, let's flip it," Bill said, producing a quarter. "Heads, I take it." Molly accepted, with his nod, and flipped the coin. Bill caught it with his fedora. "Alright, you win. Have mercy, Molly." Molly grinned and pocketed the quarter. "Not on your life, my dear Bill." "Fine. Alright, let's go out there." They crossed the street, laughing.
