The sun beat down as the large brown Toyota Tacoma trudged down the dusty dirt path. Bill's elbow nudged Molly in the ribs. "See that farmhouse up ahead? Get a look at their farm party." Molly stared, finger tapping against the window. "Oh my god. It's like something out of Holiday Heist." "Isn't it wild how much times have changed?" Bill sighed, rubbing the bristles of his brush against his chin. "Well, at least we've got our little helper," Molly said, expressive eyes locked onto their future score, perched on the loser's shoulders. "From Steve." "Yessiree, Steve and his 7 and crew are our inside source. Bit of an odd duck, gets games and shenanigans. Well, a duck with no body issues," Bill laughed. "I don't have high hopes. Isn't he out in a dunk tank already?" Molly said. "Better peel him outta there before things get ugly." Bill paused, then shrugged his shoulders. "Don't see how they're gonna get him out. Looks like they're on their go-round four." "Four? That's tough, that's, uh, that's ponderous. Much invested, I'd say. Bit too much for this unplanned assignation." Bill grinned. "Well, we still get to loot the lair," he said as he pulled onto the horizon. "Uh-oh, the pair of us have got spunk. Nothing quite kills the mood here." The pair pulled to a close stop barely twenty yards from the children's party. "Well, let's audition," Bill said. He opened his door so loud it vibrated through the welt on his chest. "Hey, hey you...intoxicated idiot." "Now wait, tough guy, I'm not drunk!" The unfriendly fool argued while Bill tugged the young boy off the dunk tank splashing into the murky water below. "Thanks, hey tough guy!" he flapped his arms. "Thanks, you're a lifesaver!" "Okay, listen kid, here's the thing. Give me your stash of high-tech gadgets and get out. And don't get wet, get out." The boy threw his secret tin at Bill who caught it bearing a multi-tool. "Hey, better hold on to this one." "Quick, kid, get a move on," Bill yelled. He ran off laughing. "The kid'll be my neighborhoosin' diva," he said, shaking his head in excitement as he and Molly returned to the truck. As Bill and Molly drop-off at the dream house, dog follows close behind in the back.
