Molly pulled up to the miniature mansion in her sleek, black van, the license plate reading "BIG GAME DAY". Bill, a wiry man with a messy mop of brown hair, greeted her with a thumbs up and a mischievous grin. "Hey, boss! You look sharp for a heist." Molly flashed him a bright smile. "Hey, Bill, you look like you just rolled out of bed, not the groom for my wedding to a raccoon." Bill chuckled and gestured to the van. "Hey, I resent that. I'm still a catch." He killed the engine and they grabbed the bags from the trunk. As they suited up, Molly started on the party prep – hanging balloons and sprinkles from the tree, while Bill practiced hiding the crowbar behind the sofa. He mimed adjusting the door's catch, making it look like it was still open without too much effort. The sound of laughter and shrieks of "Surprise!" drifted from inside; they'd warned Molly not to let the little ones down their street, but she'd made a note to send them text when they'd hit the jackpot. "When are we doing it, Billy?" Molly asked, adjusting her black leather gloves. "Next week, boss. Assuming the parents don't have a fire drill scheduled otherwise." Molly let out a whistle. Just grab a wad of cash and stash it in a safe?" Molly's eyes narrowed. "Somewhere quiet, no one to flag us down. Possibly two million dollars, minimum." Bill yawned. "I thought we agreed to a five- and-a-half million. You're not worried that Mr. Jenkins will bust us first?" "No one's bothering us tonight," Molly said, nodding toward the party. "Besides, I've got a better idea. What if we hit one with triple the kids? You know, at a school talent show?" Bill looked taken aback. "Talent show? You know I hate crowds." "Details, details," Molly said, snapping her fingers. "You'll be a star, Billy. I'll – " "The star of a juvenile talent act? You're such a goofball, Molly." "That I'm a professional, of course not," Molly said dryly. "I mean, besides, having me open and close my eyes and hold a sign that says 'Will you like brownies' always grabs the little ones faster." Bill sighed, grinning. "You're a genius, boss." "And now, time to put the cuffs on. Last minute edits – make sure to sneak in undetected, don't be too visible!" "Remind me what the title of this particular operation is?" "Operation 'Nighttime Candy Heist'." Bill cringed. "Groan...that one's going to kill me."
