Molly and Bill sat huddled in the backseat of their battered old van, sipping lukewarm coffee as they surveilled the birthday party across the street. A banner that read 'Happy 6th Birthday, Timmy!' flapped in the wind, and the sounds of screaming children and off-key singing drifted through the air. "I don't know, Bill," Molly said, her voice laced with doubt. "This feels like a real low point. Stealing from kids?" Bill snorted, his eyes scanning the party for potential entry points. "Come on, Molly, it's not like we're stealing their lunch money. These are rich kids; they've got more toys than they know what to do with. We're just... redistributing the wealth." Molly raised an eyebrow. "Redistributing the wealth, one Fisher-Price playset at a time." Bill chuckled. "Hey, those things are worth a pretty penny on the black market. And besides, it's not like we're breaking into Fort Knox. We're talking about a party full of sugar-high six-year-olds and harried parents. Piece of cake." Molly shook her head. "I don't know... I've got a bad feeling about this one, Bill. What if we get caught?" Bill's grin faltered for a moment before he recovered. "We won't get caught, moll. We're pros. We've got a solid plan, and we've been casing this party for weeks. We know the parents are too distracted by the bounce house and the photo booth to notice a thing. We'll be in and out with the loot before they even notice they've been hit." Molly sighed, her gaze drifting back to the party. "I hope you're right. Okay, let's go over the plan one more time. You create a diversion near the pinata, and I sneak in through the back door and make a grab for the presents. We meet back here in ten, and we're outta there." Bill nodded, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Sounds like a plan to me. And hey, who knows? Maybe we'll even find a few toys worth keeping for ourselves." Molly raised an eyebrow. "You really think that's a good idea, Bill? I mean, it's not like we're exactly in a position to be giving each other gifts." Bill's face fell, but he recovered quickly. "Hey, a guy can dream, right?" As the partygoers launched into a rousing chorus of 'For He's a Jolly Good Fellow,' Bill and Molly shared a look, and then, without another word, they slipped out of the van and into the chaos of the party.
