Their car was parked across from the brightly decorated house, balloons tied to the mailbox and a large banner reading 'Happy 8th Birthday Timmy.' Molly sighed. "I never knew kids these days got so many presents. It's like they're hoarding them or something." "That's what makes it the perfect heist," Bill said with a grin. "These parents are just asking to be robbed. I mean, have you seen the size of that pile of gifts? It's like a present Everest." Molly chuckled. "Present Everest. You should write a book." "I'm a thief, not an author," Bill said dryly. "Now let's get down to business. Who's the inside man?" "Sarah's cousin's daughter is attending the party," Molly said, checking her watch. "She's agreed to sneak us in after the cake." "You've got a lot of faith in an eight-year-old," Bill said, raising an eyebrow. "What if she rats us out?" "She's promised to keep it a secret in exchange for a Lego set," Molly said confidently. "Kids are all about the bribes, right?" "Right," Bill agreed. "And how do we plan on getting the presents out of there?" "Discreetly," Molly said, holding up a large diaper bag. "We're going in as ordinary parents. Nothing says 'I'm not a thief' like a diaper bag full of stolen gifts." Bill chuckled. "You're a genius. What do we do with all the presents once we have them?" "We fence them," Molly said. "I know a guy who's willing to give us top dollar for a haul this size." "Sounds like a plan," Bill said, cracking his knuckles. "Now let's go call ourselves some ordinary parents and blend in." The two thieves put on their most innocent faces and climbed out of the car, joining the throngs of parents and children streaming into the party. As they walked up the path, Molly took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." "And here goes a whole lot of presents," Bill added, grinning. Upon entering the house, they found themselves in a sea of screaming children and enforced Smalltalk. Molly and Bill exchanged a moment of wide-eyed panic before Bill swiftly adapted, cheerfully volunteering to help with the balloon animals. Molly searched the room, her eyes locking onto Sarah's cousin's daughter, happily chatting with a miniature pony cake.
