"Alright, Molly, so we've got the birthday party of the century on our hands," Bill said, surveying the layout of the backyard. "Twenty-five piƱatas, a bouncy castle, and a cake that looks like a Tyrannosaurus rex. This is going to be a cakewalk." Molly adjusted her black balaclava and gave Bill a skeptical look. "A T-Rex? You really think the cake is worth breaking into a house over?" "Of course it is," Bill replied, his eyes scanning the neighborhood. "I mean, how many other opportunities do we get to steal all the presents from a bunch of sugar-high kids? It's like we've got a golden ticket to a Christmas market." Molly shrugged. "And it's not like we can just walk in and start grabbing presents. We need a plan." Bill snapped his fingers. "I've got it. We create a diversion. You're the 'lame uncle' we've heard they have at these things. I'll sneak in through the gate and create a ruckus with the bounce house. You dress up as a party clown and walk in, honk the horn, and start screaming about your false teeth falling out." Molly considered it for a moment. "And then we just scoop up the presents and make a run for it?" Bill nodded. "Exactly. Although, we'll need to do it quickly. Those kids have been warned about not talking to strangers. We don't want to end up with a bunch of tiny accusations of being the 'bad guys' stuck in our ear for years to come." Molly raised an eyebrow. "Bad guys? We're not exactly operating out of fear or hatred. We're more like...misplaced optimists." Bill chuckled. "That's exactly what we want them to think. We're just a couple of bumbling, well-meaning crooks who probably get lost on the way to our next mark. That way, we avoid looking like, say, actual thieves." Molly snorted. "And what exactly is our next mark?" Bill grinned mischievously. "Oh, there's a charity gala at the museum on Saturday. A seven-figure vase is just waiting to be...relocated." A group of boisterous kids began to gather near the bounce house, now loudly taunting each other while their parents watched with exasperated expressions. Bill nodded towards the house. "Time to make our grand entrance. You get your clown face on, I'll create some chaos". Molly sprang into character, donning a bright orange wig and face paint. Bill joined in, starting to build up the momentum with his impressive bouncy moves. The ensuing chaos would make it almost impossible for anyone to notice the stealthy thieving that followed. Almost.
