Molly stared at the faded Bingo hall map spread out on the dusty table, her eyes scanning the maze of corridors and storage rooms. Bill lounged beside her, sipping a lukewarm coffee, his feet propped on the worn vinyl chair. "This is going to be a cakewalk, Bill," Molly said, tracing a route with her finger. "We get in through the back door, make a beeline for the presents, and out again. Five minutes, tops." Bill raised an eyebrow. "You're not worried about all the screaming kids and harried parents?" Molly shrugged. "We're professionals, Bill. We thrive in chaos. And think of all that carefully wrapped swag just waiting to be... uncared for." Bill chuckled and set his cup down. "Uncared for? You're a poet, Molly." "I'm a thief, Bill," Molly corrected. "With a flair for the dramatic. Now, let's review the plan. We've got two kids' birthday parties booked in the hall today – Tommy's six-year-old extravaganza and Emily's four-year-old princess bash. We'll hit Tommy's party during the cake-eating frenzy. The distraction will be just what we need to slip in and out unnoticed." Bill nodded, a greedy glint in his eye. "And the haul? Presents galore, I hope?" "According to the party invitation, each guest brought a wrapped gift worth at least twenty bucks," Molly said, her eyes shining. "We're looking at a potential take of five hundred bucks easy. Not to mention the really pricey stuff – toy robots, Instadoodles, the latest cartoon movie merchandise... the works." Bill whistled softly. "Not bad for a bit of afternoon's work. What's the catch?" Molly hesitated, her lips pursing. "Well, there is one potential hitch... Emily's party is right next door, and rumor has it her mom hired a bouncy castle." Bill groaned, his head falling into his hands. "A bouncy castle. Of course. Because nothing ruins a well-planned heist like a small army of frenzied, sugared-up toddlers hurling themselves at an inflatable monstrosity." Molly shrugged. "It's just something we'll have to factor in. After all, a little extra risk never hurt anyone... right?" Bill raised his head, a worried look creasing his face. "Tell me again, Molly, why we're doing this. We could be getting paid for actual work, not stealing gifts from kids." Molly flashed him a wicked grin. "Because, Bill, someone's got to keep the spirit of mischief alive. And besides... where's the fun in actual work when you can have the denizens of at least two parties weeping and wailing about their pilfered Loot?" Bill snatched up the map, closely examining their escape route. "You win, Molly. As always, your unique brand of holiday cheer has sold me."
