Molly paced back and forth in the cramped diner, her bright pink hair a stark contrast to the dull decor. Bill sat at the counter, sipping on a cup of coffee, his eyes fixed on the giant inflatable giraffe across the street. "Alright, let's go over the plan one more time," Molly said, spinning on her heel to face Bill. "We sneak into the kiddie party, make a beeline for the presents, and then we're out," Bill replied, not looking up from the giraffe. "That's it?" Molly raised an eyebrow. "Well, we also need to avoid getting trampled by a dozen sugar-high six-year-olds," Bill added, finally meeting Molly's gaze. "Right, right, the tiny landlords with a penchant for tantrums." Molly smirked. "And what's the plan for getting past the parents?" "Your charming smile and my forged 'Children's Party Safety Inspector' ID," Bill deadpanned. Molly chuckled. "You know I can work a crowd, but I'm not sure even I can sell this one." "Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures," Bill said. "Besides, it's not like we're stealing from actual adults. Who's going to notice a few missing presents among the chaos?" "The birthday boy's granny, that's who," Molly said, snorting. "She'll notice. And then she'll probably karate-chop us to the ground." Bill raised his hands in mock defense. "You're the one who wanted to target the party with the highest gift-per-child ratio. Don't complain now because it's a little riskier than we thought." Molly's grin grew mischievous. "Oh, I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that maybe we should come prepared with a few backup plans... just in case things go sideways." "Backup plans, huh?" Bill raised an eyebrow. "What kind of backup plans are we talking?" "Well," Molly said, "how about we, uh, create a diversion? Set off the fire alarm? Accidentally-on-purpose spook the pony ride?" Bill let out a low whistle. "You know, sometimes I think your reckless abandon is going to be the death of us." Molly shrugged. "Hey, at least we won't die bored." Their operation name, scribbled on a napkin, caught Molly's eye - "Operation: Party Crashers". Bill must have added the tacky doodle of a bandit wearing a party hat. She elbowed him in the ribs, a silent promise that they would pull off this ridiculous heist. With a final nod, Molly and Bill downed their respective coffee and milkshake, mollifying their guilty consciences with a party-crashing, present-snatching pep talk: "Who needs integrity, anyway?"
