Molly and Bill sat across from each other in the dimly lit kitchen, maps of neighborhood streets spread out between them. "Okay, Bill, this party's set for tomorrow at 4pm sharp," Molly said, jabbing a finger at the address on the map. "Parents and relatives usually have their drinks and chatter for a solid hour after the kids arrive." Bill nodded, his fingertips tapping a slow rhythm on the table. "So, we want to slip in around 5pm and be done by 6 before the adults start hauling their kids outta there." Molly smiled, eyes glinting mischievously. "Exactly. Which means we'll need these bad boys." She reached into her bag and pulled out a set of shiny lock picks. Bill raised an eyebrow. "Pity those plastic army crates aren't gonna offer much in the way of high-value loot." "Aw, Bill, don't be a killjoy. Some kid out there is gonna be bitterly disappointed tomorrow, thanks to us." She popped a pick into her mouth, teeth glinting. "And it ain't their fault they won some crappy slingshot for winter camp sports day." Bill chuckled, shaking his head. "You're gonna make me join 'Defend the Innocents' society with this compassion for humanity, Molly." Molly rolled her eyes. "You need to work on your gag writing. But yeah, let's get in and out before the parents come to collect and their freshly deployed pixel people start whining. It'll just be too loud."
