Molly and Bill huddled around a dingy table, poring over a cluster of crumpled sheets and torn pictures. Molly traced a black fingernail along a line drawn on the makeshift map. "Here," she said, jabbing a smudged dot in the center. "That's where we go in. Disguise in force for this one, Bill. The kids are going to be all over the place." Bill grunted and tossed a wad of cash on the table. "Sure you wanna do this? These baby showers are weak compared to the high society gigs." Molly smirked and flicked one of the bills towards him. "This is easy pickings, Bill. And it's a chance to break in something new. Somewhere different." She took another long look over the map. "We go in from here, straight down through the decorations and past the 'adults only' area. Then, we hit the main table full of gifts. Should be overflowing with gadgets and toys. Hitting it won't be any trouble." Bill rolled his eyes. "Trouble? You kidding? There's gonna be screaming kids all over the place. And who knows what their moms and dads are gonna do if they catch us." Molly scoffed. "Bunch of suburbanite hacks, that's who. On our best day, we could embarrass those clowns in front of their PTA friends. This is just an easy way to turn a profit, Bill." She tapped the map again, letting her plan sink in. "We're going in as clowns. All white makeup, juggling balls. The works. They'll think we're performers. And once we're on the main table, it's all grab and go. No problem." Bill sighed and stood up, stretching his lazy frame. "Guess I'll have to hit the costume store. Clown make-up and juggling balls, huh? This had better pay off." Molly grinned ear to ear. "Oh, it will, Bill. It definitely will." She crammed the plans into her oversized coat and blew Bill a kiss as she sauntered out the back door, leaving Bill in a cloud of her cheap perfume. Clowns and children's parties, he muttered under his breath. What had he gotten himself into this time?
