"That's it? A kid's birthday party? This is the heist you dragged me in on?" Molly tossed her ski mask down on the table in disgust. Bill calmly picked it up and folded it. "It's not the what, it's the how." He grinned deviously. "I'm listening." "We sneak in disguised as party clowns, Molly. Clowns! We're the life of the party, trusted to hold the presents before the big cake reveal. Then once all the gifts are in our hands...we make a break for it!" Molly raised an eyebrow. "And just how many presents are we talking here?" "Pokémon cards, tube socks, my little pony dolls, the works! Tens of thousands in kid swag. Imagine theotypes on Craigslist!" Bill rubbed his hands together. Molly opened the fridge and pulled out a beer, cracking it open. "Let me get this straight. You want me to, what, put on a rainbow wig and oversized red nose? Waddle around blowing up balloons while preaching 'It's your birthday!' Wood you rather I just slit their throats instead?" "Language, Molly! Kids will be within earshot! We need to play it subtle." Molly took a long pull of her beer. "Subtle. Right. And what's our big escape? Do I just juggle fiery pins like freakshow trouper and Ga while you stall with a magic act?" "Oh that's genius! We could work a few into the routine." Bill's eyes twinkled. "Ah to hell with the how. The what is perfect - cop's think you're too hardened to pull a smash and grab on some pre-schoolers. We're invisible in this job." Molly rolled her eyes. "I'm starting to think you're a few ballons short of a bunch, partner. But I guess there is something to the ol' 'expect the unexpected' adage." "Exactly! We're gonna be the Bonnie and Clyde of the bad clown scene. Folk heroes!" Bill dangled his red nose. "So you in?" . "So I'd be stuck in the drain pipe, wiggling and wobbling with zero control as the sewage backs up and spills from every toilet in this burg?" Iris tsk-tsked. "Tough job, that." ''Tends to take certain mental flexibility," Edna admitted. The glow from the Boris Johnson in her hand nailed the wrinkles on Iris's face. "Just wiggle your hips like you mean it and let the waves work you to a new purpose." Iris flashed her a half smirk before taking a deep pull from her own cigarette. Edna gave a tight pump of her cigarette as her eyes clouded. "Don't suppose there's a trade union?" "I'm thinking you're more along the lines of the ring girl at the Hulk Hogan of plumbing's World Wrestling Federation Smackdown of Liquid Clogs." "Oh, good one," Edna muttered. Iris waved her hand in the air. "Look at us, Edna--masters of pun, dexterity, and alliteration." "High praise." Iris set her downed herself back. "Besides, everyone knows the sexiest part of a woman is her mind, so you've got that going for you."
