Molly peered through the window, eyeing the colorful balloons and streamers. Inside, the children laughed and shrieked, their tiny voices carrying across the park. "Perfect," Molly whispered conspiratorially. "Bill, you've got the bags?" "Right here," Bill replied, shoving the oversized sacks into Molly's hands. "Plenty of room for all the loot." Molly weighed one of the bags in her palm, her lips curling into a sly grin. "Then let's get this party started." With a quick nod of understanding, Bill circled around to the rear entrance of the pavilion. He leaned against the wall, keeping a careful watch for any nosy parents or over-zealous security guards. Molly, on the other hand, strode straight into the heart of the chaos. She wiggled her fingers at a passing toddler, but kept her eyes fixed on the table in the back corner. There, shining like a beacon amongst the glittering paper and shiny bows, sat the presents. "You two, help Mr. Bobo the Clown with the piñata," Molly trilled, hoisting the large paper mule high over her head. The children eagerly gathered around, their attention diverted. Less than a minute later, Molly clutched her arms full of boxes, wrapping paper jutting out from beneath her arms. "Careful now," she warned Bill, "we wouldn't want to destroy any of these precious treasures." Bill rolled his eyes, but helped her transfer the packages into the bags. They worked quickly, grabbing handful after handful until the bags bulged at the seams. Almost immediately, Bill began to snicker. "You have to admit, this is a bit over-the-top, even for us." Molly paused, looking at the bags and then at Bill. Then, without warning, she burst into a fit of giggles, her shoulders shaking as laughter spilled from her lips. "Oh, shut up," she gasped out between her guffaws. But the giggles only grew in volume, until both Molly and Bill stood there, clutching their stomachs and doubling over with mirth. Around them, the party continued unaware, the children's joyous shrieks nearly drowning out the thieves' merriment. "You're right," Molly finally managed to choke out, "this might just be the strangest job we've ever taken." Bill merely shook his head, a grin splitting his face from ear to ear. "And to think, we didn't even have to zombie hit this time." With that, the two thieves slinked away into the shadows, the bags of stolen presents bumping against their legs as they went.
