Molly sat across from Bill at the dimly lit cafe, her fingers drumming impatiently on the Formica tabletop. She glanced at her watch. "It's a gothen he's-taking forever!" Bill shrugged. "Relax, he's a meticulous planner. Gotta cover every detail." A waiter approached and Bill waved him off. "No, thanks, we're just waiting." A tall man in a dark overcoat slid into the booth across from them. It was George, their inside man. He looked around furtively. "I've got news. The party is tomorrow. It's gonna be packed - dozens of kids, parents, staff. Total chaos." "That's our window." Molly leaned forward eagerly. "How many presents?" George checked his surroundings again. "Lots. Stacked under the tree. And I'll be supervising the gift delivery this year. Makes things...easier." Bill nodded slowly. "So break in before they get there, nab the presents, and-" "Wait!" Molly smacked the table. "This is a kids' party. We can't just steal a bunch of toys from small children on Christmas. That's... unseemly." George snorted. "Since when do you have scruples, Molly? We're talking about high-end gifts here. What's in it for us?" "A lot of guilt," Molly retorted. "I'll pass on this one." Bill rubbed his chin. "What if... we swap out the original gifts for fakes? The kids still get presents, we look like Robin Hoods, and we get to fence the real merchandise." George raised an eyebrow. "Not a bad idea. Molly, you're full of surprises. But it'll take some doing. You in or out?" Molly sighed. "Alright, I'm in. Mutually assured discomfort is my jam. But let's not mess with the little ones' holiday magic, yeah? I still have a conscience." Bill grinned. "Damn right you do. In fact, I've got an idea. What if we donate some of the ill-gotten gains to charity? Spread some joy, balance the karma." George laughed so loud he drew glances from nearby tables. "Oh I love this new do-gooder you. Makes me all fuzzy inside. Alright, Beatles, I'll work on the logistics. Party's tomorrow at 3pm. Be there with the fake swag and a Santa suit. Don't be late!" As George left, Bill turned to Molly. "This is gonna be fun. And a little twisted. Stealing Christmas, but also saving it, in a way." Molly smiled cynically. "Yeah. Chalk up another family friendly crime spree for the books. Classic Bill and Molly."
