Molly sat cross-legged on the floor of the dingy apartment, a large map of the neighborhood spread out before her. Bill stood over her shoulder, a pencil tapping against his teeth. "You know, this is a really bad idea," he said. "Stealing presents from a kid's party? What's next? Ripping off a charity bake sale?" Molly sighed and rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, Bill. Don't get all sentimental on me now. We're thieves, remember? This is what we do." "I'm not saying we shouldn't steal stuff," Bill replied, pacing around the room. "But shouldn't we at least steal stuff that matters? Stuff that belongs to rich people or evil corporations or something? Not little kid's toys and candy." Molly frowned at the map. "Do you know how much a kid's party costs these days? Parents are shelling out hundreds, maybe even thousands for these extravaganzas. We hit the right party at the right time, we could make a nice profit." "A nice profit?" Bill snorted. "You mean we could afford to upgrade to a slightly less crappy apartment? I don't know, Molly. I just don't think it's worth it." "Bill, we need the money. We're running low on cash and we can't afford to wait for a big score. This is the best chance we've got right now." Molly stabbed her finger at a spot on the map. "This party is going to be huge. Look, it's at the community center, they're inviting the whole neighborhood. There's going to be presents galore." Bill hesitated. Molly was right about the money situation. They did need a quick score. And this party did look like it would be a good opportunity... "Fine," he said reluctantly. "But if we do this, we're doing it right. In and out, no muss no fuss. No hurting any kids, no messing with the party. We get in, we get the presents, we get out. Got it?" Molly grinned. "I was hoping you'd see things my way. Don't worry, I've got it all planned out. Here, look." She pulled out another map, this one of the community center. "The party is in the big main room here. The presents will be over here, by the cake table. We sneak in through this door, grab the presents, and sneak back out through this other door. Easy
