The bell above the door jingled as she entered the bakery, the smell of sweet pastries and fresh bread filling her nostrils. Behind the counter stood Marge, her flour-dusted apron a testament to another busy morning. "Morning, hon! What'll it be today?" "Oh, just the usual, Marge. Coffee and a scone." "You want a blueberry or lemon today?" "Hmm, surprise me. And I heard there was some excitement downtown this morning?" Marge leaned in conspiratorially as she poured the coffee. "That's right.
