Molly adjusted her blonde wig in the rearview mirror. "I really like this one," she said, admiring her reflection. "It makes me look like a soccer mom." Bill chuckled from behind the wheel. "You look nothing like a soccer mom." "Hey, I resent that," Molly said, playfully punching his arm. "I can be very suburban if I want to be." She affected a bored drawl. "Oh my god, like, I just want to get home and bake some cookies for the bake sale. Ugh, I hope little Jimmy didn't forget his lunch money again." Bill snorted. "I think you've been watching too many bad sitcoms." They turned a corner, and the sprawling park came into view. "Oh my god, look at all these brats," Molly said, eyeing the hordes of screaming children. "It's like a plague of locusts, but with more juice boxes." "Think of all the loot," Bill replied, rubbing his hands together. He pulled into the crowded parking lot. "I bet there's thousands of dollars worth of toys and electronics in there. This is going to be the score of a lifetime." Molly smirked. "You just like the idea of stealing from kids. You're a twisted man, Bill." He shrugged. "Hey, a job's a job. And it's not like we're going to leave them with nothing. They'll still have each other. And their memories." "Asshole," Molly said fondly. They parked and grabbed their supplies from the backseat. Bill slung a large backpack over his shoulder. "Okay, so the party starts at 3pm. The piƱata is supposed to happen around 4:30. We'll make our move when all the kids are distracted." "Sounds good to me," Molly said, shouldering her own backpack. They got out and headed for the playground. Molly scanned the party, taking in the rainbow-colored balloons and streamers. A banner that read "Happy Birthday, Timmy!" hung across a long table loaded with cupcakes. She grabbed Bill's arm. "I think I see our mark over by the bouncy castle," she whispered, nodding toward a tall man with a receding hairline. "That's got to be Daddy, right?" Bill nodded, squinting in the sun. "And look, there's Mommy. She looks like a total control freak." Molly
