"Okay, I think I got it," Molly said, looking up from her tablet. "The party starts at two pm tomorrow. We hit it about two forty-five when they're in the middle of cake. I can see the presents piled up in the back corner of the room." "Two forty-five?" Bill scoffed. "That's cutting it close, don't you think? What if the kid blows out the candles early? The adults will be all over the presents before we even get there." "We'll make it work. I've been casing this joint for weeks. I know the routine." "Fine, but how do we get in? They'll have a list." "Oh, I got that covered." Molly held up a blonde wig. "We'll pose as the kid's aunt and uncle." "That wig is blonde. I'm not blonde." "You will be." She held up a bottle of bleach. "What else?" Bill groaned. "Well, I already have a dress for you." Molly pulled out a frilly pink frock. "I am not wearing that. I'd rather go to jail." "Don't worry, you'll be fine." Molly tossed the wig and dress at Bill. "Now, let's go over the escape route. We hit the presents, grab everything we can carry, and head out the back door. Once we're out, we ditch the disguises in the bushes and book it for the van. Got it?" "Yeah, got it," Bill said glumly. "Just hope we don't run into any actual uncles at this thing." "Relax. I got everything under control. It'll be a piece of cake." Bill laughed. "That's what they say about all heists. Then you end up stuck in a dumpster wearing a pink dress." "It won't happen this time, I promise. We'll be in and out. We'll make a fortune off those presents." Molly grinned. "And think of how good it'll feel to steal from a bunch of overprivileged brats." "Good point. Alright, you've convinced me. But if we get caught, I'm telling the cops you're my wife." "That's the spirit!" Molly high-fived Bill. "Let's go steal some presents!"
