You are an expert novel writer in the cozy mystery genre. Write a scene of about 200 words, with dialogue between two characters. The dialogue should be unattributed, meaning the speaker is not explicitly mentioned. The scene should be set in a small town bakery. Only return the story, nothing else.

The bell above the door jingled as the customer walked in. Aromas of buttery pastry and brewing coffee filled the air. "Good morning, honey, what can I get for you today?" "Oh, hi Marge. Just a large coffee, black, please." "Sure thing. And I've got a fresh batch of lemon poppy seed muffins right out of the oven. Want to try one?" "Mmm, I'd love to but I'm trying to watch my figure. Speaking of which, how's the diet going? You look great!" "Aww, shucks, it's all the exercise I get running around this place. Plus I've cut back on sampling the merchandise, you know how it is. I'll bring your coffee right out." The baker bustled into the back room, the customer seating herself on a worn wooden chair at a small round table by the front window. Here was the coffee, and a muffin perched on the edge of the saucer. "I thought you said..." "Figured you deserved a little treat. It's on the house." The customer bit into the muffin, sweet-tart lemon curd filling oozing from the tender crumb. "Wow, this is incredible." "Told ya. I've been perfecting the recipe." The customer took another bite, washing it down with a sip of coffee. Suddenly, she gasped and started choking. "What's wrong? Oh my God, are you okay? Do you need me to call 911?" The customer was shaking her head, a panicked expression on her face. She reached a trembling hand into her mouth. And pulled out a small gold earring. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I had the strangest sensation like something was stuck in my throat." "That's crazy. You must have had it in your mouth when you came in." The customer nodded, sliding the earring into her pocket. "Well, at least I didn't swallow it. Although, it did seem to match the ones I found in the alley by the library last week." The baker's eyes narrowed slightly as she took the empty plate. "I think you may want to return those, don't you?"
