Molly picked at the croissant on her plate, flaking off bits of buttery pastry as she scowled at the floor plan spread out before them. "It's too risky," she said, her brow furrowed in concern. "We're talking about a party full of kids, Bill. One wrong move and we're surrounded by a swarm of sticky little terrors demanding to know why we're stealing their presents." Bill leaned back in his chair, eyes fixed on the steaming cup of coffee in front of him. "Relax, Molly. We've got this. It's not like we're going in blind." He tapped the plan with a greasy finger. "We know the layout of the joint, we know the schedule, we know exactly when and where the birthday kid is going to be distracted." "Distracted, not oblivious," Molly corrected, her voice dripping with skepticism. "And what about the parents? They'll be hovering, watching their precious little snowflakes like hawks. You think they won't notice us sneaking around?" Bill shrugged. "We'll blend in. We've done it before." "What we've done before is steal from drunk college kids and clumsy office workers, not hovering helicopter parents," Molly countered, her voice rising. "And this isn't some dive bar or cramped office cubicle, it's a birthday party. It's a minefield of noise and chaos and sugar-high children. "Ah, but that's the best part," Bill said, a sly grin spreading across his face. "No one expects to be robbed at a children's birthday party. It's the perfect cover. Besides, we're not going to get caught. We've got a plan, we've rehearsed the plan, and we're going to execute the plan to perfection. Trust me." Molly raised an eyebrow. "You're not exactly inspiring confidence here, Bill." "Hey, I've got a good feeling about this one," Bill said, his grin growing wider. "And so do you, deep down. You're just nervous because it's a new challenge. That's what makes it fun, right?" Molly snorted. "You and your optimism. You know that's going to get us killed one of these days." Bill chuckled. "Not today, it won't. Today, it's going to get us very, very rich. And all those presents are just begging to be stolen."
