"Okay, so we know there's going to be five birthday kids, and each of their parents is bringing a minimum of three gifts, right?" Bill said, wiping the sweat from his forehead as he stared at the blueprints of the party venue spread out on the kitchen table. "Right," Molly replied, sipping on her coffee. "But we can't count on the parents bringing just three gifts. These are rich kids we're talking about. We should factor in a minimum of five gifts per kid." "Five gifts per kid, five kids... that's twenty-five gifts," Bill said, his brow furrowed in concentration. "Twenty-five gifts, at an average price point of a hundred bucks each... that's twenty-five hundred dollars." Bill let out a low whistle. "Two thousand five hundred dollars, tax free. Not bad for a night's work." "Not bad at all," Molly agreed. "But we need to figure out how we're going to get out with all those gifts. There's going to be a bunch of screaming kids, not to mention their parents and the party staff." "Well, we could try the old 'distract the adults with a fake fight while you sneak out the back door with the loot' trick. It's a classic." Bill shook his head. "Too cliché. We can do better than that." Molly sighed. "Then what's your plan, genius?" "I say we get creative. We dress up as party clowns and blend in with the staff. We'll just mix in with the other clowns while we're stuffing the gifts into our oversized clown pants." Molly's eyes widened in horror. "You expect me to wear one of those bright orange wigs and a red nose?" Bill shrugged. "Well, if we want to fit in with the other clowns, yeah." "I'd rather get caught and rot in jail. There has to be another way." Bill drummed his fingers on the table. "Hmmm... how about we sneak in dressed as a delivery guy, and just swap out the presents with fake ones that look exactly the same?" Molly shook her head. "Too risky. What if the birthday kids open their gifts before we get a chance to switch them out?" "Then we're screwed," Bill admitted. "Okay, let's think this through. What's the one thing that's guaranteed to get every adult's attention at a kid's party?" Bill's eyes lit up. "A kid getting hurt."
