Molly leaned against the van with her arms crossed, a sly smile on her face. "I'm telling you, Bill, this is going to be the easiest heist ever." Bill adjusted his fake mustache and stared at her with a raised eyebrow. "A kid's birthday party, Molly? Really?" "The Thompson kid's turning ten," Molly explained. "Their parents have more money than sense. Imagine the loot we'll score from those unopened presents!" "What if the kids catch us?" Bill asked nervously. "Bill, it's a bunch of ten-year-olds. How tough can they be?" Molly chuckled. "Now, go inflate the balloons for your clown disguise." *** Bill, dressed in full clown costume, led a group of children in a raucous game of musical chairs. His wig itched, and he wondered how Molly talked him into this. Molly, disguised as a waitress, made her way toward the gift table. She glanced at Bill and winked as she stacked the presents onto a serving cart. A small boy, no older than six, watched Molly with curiosity. "Miss, where are you taking those gifts?" Molly smiled sweetly at the boy. "Honey, I'm just moving them to a safe place. Wouldn't want anyone tripping over them, would we?" The boy considered her words before shrugging and running off to join the other children. Molly breathed a sigh of relief and continued loading the gifts onto the cart. Bill ended the musical chairs game, much to the disappointment of the children. He glanced at Molly, who subtly signaled that she had all the presents. Bill nodded and addressed the children. "Alright, kiddos! Who wants to see a magic trick?" As Bill kept the children entertained with his amateur magic, Molly pushed the cart toward the side entrance where their van awaited. Just as she opened the door, a shrill voice called out. "Hey! You can't take those gifts!" Molly froze in her tracks and turned to face the voice. A ten-year-old girl stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Molly. "These aren't your gifts, young lady," the girl continued. "You're trying to steal them, aren't you?" Molly chuckled nervously. "Now, sweetheart, I'm just doing as I was instructed. Your parents asked me to move the presents to a safer spot." "Oh, really?" the girl asked. "Then why are you trying to sneak them out the side door?" Molly was at a loss for words. The girl had seen through her ruse, and now the entire heist was in jeopardy. Just then, Bill burst through the door, still dressed as a clown but now carrying a large sack. "Molly, did you tell them about the magic sack? We're going to make all the gifts disappear!" The children squealed with excitement, and the little girl who had caught Molly seemed to buy the explanation. Molly and Bill quickly loaded the gifts into their van before making their grand escape. As they drove away from the party, Molly laughed. "Bill, you've got a knack for thinking on your feet." Bill pulled off his clown wig and wiped the sweat from his brow. "I don't know about you, Molly, but I think I've had enough of children's parties for a while."
