Bill snorted, his crowbar glinting in the dim alleyway. "You're worried about morality now? Come on, Mol, you've picked deeper pockets than this." Molly sighed, "Yeah, but there's something sacred about a kid's birthday party, isn't there?" "Sacred?" Bill guffawed. "Tell that to the parents who hired a freaking bouncy castle and a live unicorn. These presents are gonna be gold, mark my words." Rolling her eyes, Molly shouldered her oversized duffle bag. "Fine, let's do this. But if I see a single tear, I'm out." "Deal," Bill smirked, peering around the corner towards the vibrant garden. Streamers danced in the breeze, and a cacophony of high-pitched laughter drifted from the party. "Remember, we're here for the bags, not the balloons. Don't get distracted." Molly stifled a laugh, "Don't worry, I'm not about to start stuffing my pockets with jelly beans." The unlikely duo crept along the side of the house, keeping low and avoiding the occasional parent wandering outside for a smoke or a sanity break. Reaching the rear entrance, Molly produced a set of lock picks from her pocket. "Let's hope they didn't splash out on fancy security." With a few deft movements, the lock clicked, and the door swung open. Bill shot Molly an impressed glance as she pocketed her tools with a satisfied smirk. They slipped inside, ears pricked for any approaching footsteps over the muffled din of the party. "Remember," Molly hissed as they slunk down the hallway. "If we get caught, play dumb. We're just here for the cake, got it?" Bill nodded, raising an eyebrow. "We're taking the cake, too?" "Focus, Bill," Molly sighed, shaking her head. The duo reached the designated gift room, and their eyes widened at the bounty before them. Presents wrapped in shimmering paper and adorned with elaborate bows covered the floor. Bill licked his lips greedily. "Whoa, looks like a toy store threw up in here," Molly muttered, forgetting her reservations as she scanned the treasure trove. Bill rubbed his hands together. "I told you this would be worth it. Now, let's make like Santa Claus and stuff these stockings." Molly chuckled, shrugging off her bag and getting to work. They moved quickly and efficiently, piling presents into the bag like a pair of deranged elves. Suddenly, the door handle jiggled, and the pair froze, holding their breath. A muffled voice floated through the wood. "Has anyone seen the unicorn? I swear, if that thing got into the cake again..." Molly and Bill exchanged relieved glances as the footsteps faded away.
