"Molly, I've got the perfect job for us," Bill whispered eagerly, leaning across the table at their favorite dive bar. "Oh yeah? Better not be another cat burglary. I still have nightmares about that Siamese," Molly replied, rolling her eyes. "Nah, nothing like that. This is big. Huge! We're hitting a children's birthday party," Bill grinned, clearly pleased with himself. "A what? Have you lost your marbles, Bill? What are we gonna steal, candy and balloons?" Molly snorted with derision. "Not just any party, Molly. It's the mayor's son's fifth birthday. The place will be crawling with expensive gifts and distracted parents. Easy pickings!" Bill clarified, waggling his eyebrows suggestively. "Oh. Well, that changes things. Tell me more," Molly said, her interest piqued. "So, we get in disguised as party entertainers. You know, face painting, balloon animals, the works," Bill explained, gesturing animatedly. "Bill, do I look like I can twist a balloon poodle?" Molly asked incredulously. "No, no, I'll handle the balloons. You'll be the face painter. We'll blend right in, snatch the gifts, and slip away unnoticed," Bill reassured her, his enthusiasm infectious. "Alright, fine. But what's our exit strategy? We can't just waltz out the front door with armfuls of presents," Molly pointed out, taking a swig of her drink. "Already thought of that. We'll have a getaway van parked out back, ready to go. Quick change in the van, and we're home free," Bill said confidently. "Seems like you've got this all figured out. When's the big day?" Molly asked, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Next Saturday. I've already got us booked as 'Bubbles and Brushes, the Party Duo.' You just focus on not accidentally giving any kids a moustache," Bill chuckled. "Very funny. Let's just get this over with. I can't wait to see the mayor's face when he realizes his little prince has been robbed," Molly smirked, raising her glass in a mock toast. "To the perfect heist!" Bill clinked his glass against Molly's, the sound echoing their shared anticipation. "You know what? This might actually be fun," Molly admitted, a slow smile spreading across her face. "Stick with me, Molly. We'll make a fortune and have a blast doing it," Bill grinned, giving her a playful nudge. "Just remember, Bill, if I end up in a clown costume, I'm blaming you," Molly warned, shaking her head with a wry smile. "Deal. But if we pull this off, drinks are on you," Bill countered, clinking their glasses once more. "Challenge accepted. Prepare for the greatest heist this town has ever seen," Molly laughed, her excitement growing as they planned their daring escapade. Unbeknownst to them, a new legend was about to be born: the infamous birthday bandits.
