"Are you sure this is the place?" Molly whispered, glancing around the backyard decked out in balloons and streamers. "Of course, I'm sure," Bill hissed back. "My cousin's friend's sister's babysitter works for the family, and she gave me all the details." "Sounds like a solid source," Molly said, rolling her eyes. Bill ignored her skepticism. "Now, let's focus. According to my intel, the birthday boy just opened his last gift, which means they'll all be in one place. We can swoop in, grab the goods, and make our escape before anyone realizes what happened." "But why do we have to steal from a kid's party?" Molly asked, feeling a twinge of guilt. "Because," Bill said, "the little tyke's parents are loaded, and they didn't spare any expense when it came to presents. I heard there's even a real-life pony in there somewhere." Molly raised an eyebrow. "A pony? How are we supposed to sneak a pony out of here?" Bill shrugged. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, let's just get in, grab the loot, and get out." "Alright," Molly relented, "but I'm not cleaning up any pony messes." "Noted," Bill said. "Now, on the count of three, we make our move. One... Two... Three!" The duo sprang into action, darting between bouncy castles and dodging sugar-hyped children as they made their way toward the gift table. Just as they were about to reach the treasure trove, a small voice called out, "Hey! You're not supposed to be here!" Molly and Bill froze in their tracks, exchanging a panicked look. "Quick," Molly whispered, "act casual!" "Oh, hey there, kiddo," Bill said, plastering on a fake smile. "We're just, uh, looking for the restroom." The child eyed them suspiciously. "The restroom is inside the house. Why are you outside?" Molly jumped in, "We, uh, got lost. You know how it is with these big houses." The child seemed to buy their story, but before he could respond, the sound of an approaching adult made Molly and Bill's hearts race. "What are you doing out here, Timmy?" the parent asked, scooping up the child. "The magician is about to start!" As the parent and child made their way back to the party, Molly and Bill let out a sigh of relief. "That was close," Molly whispered. "No kidding," Bill said, turning back to the gift table. "Now, let's grab the goods and get out of here before we have another close call." With a nod, Molly and Bill began stuffing presents into their oversized duffel bag, keeping an ear out for any more interruptions. As they neared the end of the table, they came face-to-face with a rather large, suspiciously pony-shaped package. "I told you there was a pony!" Bill exclaimed triumphantly. "Yeah, but how are we supposed to—" Molly began, but she was cut off by the sound of applause and cheering coming from the other side of the yard. "Looks like the magician just finished his act," Bill said, hoisting the duffel bag over his shoulder. "Now's our chance. Let's make our escape before they start bringing out the cake!" With one last glance at the pony-shaped package, Molly and Bill fled the scene, ducking behind bushes and leaping over fences until they reached their getaway car. As they peeled away from the curb, they couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of their latest heist.
