In the dimly lit back alley, Molly adjusted her wireless earpiece. "Bill, you're sure about this?" she whispered, her voice crackling over the comms. Bill, perched on a nearby fire escape, chuckled softly. "Positive. The kids won't even notice we're gone. They'll be too busy opening presents." Molly rolled her eyes, but a smirk played on her lips. "You're so sure of yourself. What's the plan?" Bill gestured to the map drawn on a crumpled napkin. "We slip in through the window, grab the presents, and slip back out. Easy as pie." Molly raised an eyebrow. "And how do you plan to get past the security system?" Bill waved a hand dismissively. "I've got a plan for that too. Trust me." Molly sighed. "I trust you, Bill. It's just... kids' parties. They're supposed to be innocent and all." Bill chuckled. "Well, someone has to make it interesting. Besides, think of it as a... a Christmas miracle. We're bringing the spirit of giving to the less fortunate." Molly snorted. "The less fortunate? We're the less fortunate, Bill. We're thieves." Bill laughed. "Exactly. And tonight, we're going to be the Grinch of presenters." Molly couldn't help but laugh, shaking her head. "You're insane. But I'm in." Bill grinned, giving her a thumbs up. "Great. Let's do this." Molly checked her watch. "Alright, one minute." Bill nodded, hopping off the fire escape. "Here goes nothing." Molly took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. "Okay, let's not mess this up." As they moved into the shadows, the sound of laughter and chatter from the party filled the night air.
