Molly and Bill stood in the shadows of the old oak tree, a beacon of secrecy in the sprawling park. The sound of laughter and the echo of children's voices floated through the air, a symphony of innocence that both thieves found entirely too enticing. Molly adjusted her black cat ears, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Alright, Bill, we're in. But we stick to the plan. No touching the presents." Bill, his face obscured by a hood, nodded. "No touching. We're just here to... borrow their toys for a bit." Molly rolled her eyes, but a hint of a smile played at the corners of her lips. "Right. Now, remember, we leave the presents untouched, and we're out of here before they realize their toys are missing." Bill checked his watch, a cheap imitation of an expensive timepiece. "About five minutes. Then we're ghosts. You ready?" Molly gave him a thumbs up, her hands already at her sleeves, ready to roll up her dark clothes. "Let's do this. But if we see any of the kids... we're out of here." Bill chuckled, "No kids. Just presents. We're not here to kidnap them, Molly. Just to... borrow." Molly smirked, her eyes never leaving the front of the party house. "Good. Now let's move." Together, they slipped into the party, their silhouettes merging with the shadows, a silent dance of deceit in the night. No one noticed them slip in, not even the smallest child who played with a toy in her hands, oblivious to the impending theft.
