Molly and Bill sat in the shadows of a nearby alley, their faces obscured by the hat brims and scarves they wore. The children's party next door was in full swing, the sounds of laughter and music spilling into the night air. "Alright, Bill," Molly said, checking her watch, "we've got fifteen minutes before the parents start to clear up. That's when we strike." Bill nodded, adjusting the pouch of tools he had tucked into his belt. "You think you can handle the little ones?" Molly scoffed, "Please. I've got a niece and nephew. They're no worse than a pack of puppies when they're on a sugar high." Bill chuckled, "Well, that's comforting. Just remember, we're not here to hurt anyone. We're just looking for a little... present-day present." Molly rolled her eyes. "You're a real romantic, you know that? Alright, here's the plan. You create a distraction - I'll use the window to get in and out unseen." Bill grinned, "Leave the heavy lifting to me, then. I'll start the music and set off the smoke bombs. While you're inside, I'll keep the little ones entertained." Molly nodded, standing up and dusting off her knees. "And I'll be the ghost who stole Christmas." Bill grinned, standing up as well. "Or at least most of it. Here's to a successful heist." Molly raised her fist, and Bill bumped it gently. "To the presents!" As they slipped off into the night, the first strains of a familiar Christmas song began to play, a clear sign that the heist was about to begin.
