Molly drummed her fingers on the blueprint of the suburban home, her eyes narrowed at the red circle marking the backyard. Bill slouched opposite her, methodically cleaning his fingernails with a toothpick. "These kids' birthday parties are getting ridiculous," Molly said, tapping the paper. "Bouncy castle, petting zoo, and apparently sixteen wrapped presents worth over five grand." Bill flicked the toothpick aside. "Rich people problems." "We go in during the magic show. Parents will be distracted by some hack pulling rabbits from hats." The afternoon light cast long shadows across their planning table as Molly outlined entry points. Bill studied the neighborhood photos, rubbing his stubbled chin. "What about the clown?" he asked suddenly. Molly looked up. "What clown?" "Says here they hired a clown. Could be a problem." She laughed humorlessly, circling another spot on the blueprint. "You're not still afraid of clowns, are you?" Bill's face flushed. "I'm not afraid. Just reasonably cautious around lunatics in face paint." Molly sighed, folding the plans. "Fine. I'll handle the clown. You just grab the gifts. And Bill? Try not to scream this time."
