Night draped the suburban lawn in silvery shadows as Molly and Bill pressed against the picket fence. They eyed a glowing backyard strewn with pinwheels and cupcakes. Under a striped tent, a small crowd of children giggled by a mountain of wrapped gifts. The thieves clutched rucksacks and sticky gloves. Molly grinned, dipped a finger into glitter glue, and whispered to Bill. "Bill, are you sure the sprinklers won't go off during the party?" Bill nodded. "Relax, Molly. I've rigged the control panel to bypass the alarm and sprinklers." Molly sighed. "Great. How will we smuggle out all fifty glitter-coated teddy bears unnoticed?" Bill smirked. "Party hats make excellent disguise. We'll swap our masks for hats during cake time." Molly rolled her eyes. "I still want to know who thought pin the tail on the donkey was harder at night." Bill tapped his watch. "As long as no one lights the candles, our exit will be a candlelit chaos of laughter." Molly winked. "Don't forget the helium balloons. They'll be perfect distraction as we sail out the door." They melted back into shadow, ready to execute their glittery robbery. They glanced at each other with mischief shining in their eyes.
