Molly pressed her face against the window. Inside, twenty screaming children demolished a dinosaur piñata. "This is your big score?" Bill whispered. "A six-year-old's birthday party?" "Trust me. I saw the guest list. Senator's kids, tech billionaires' brats. Those gift bags are stuffed with iPads." "We're stealing from children." "We're redistributing from privileged children." Molly adjusted her fake mustache. "Besides, I brought a contingency plan." She pulled out two clown wigs from her bag. "Absolutely not." "Would you prefer the mascot costume? I've got a sweaty bear suit in the car." Bill sighed, grabbing the purple wig. "My therapist is going to love this story." They crept around back where tables overflowed with elaborately wrapped presents. A mountain of silver and gold boxes sparkled in the afternoon sun. "On three," Molly said. "One, two—" The back door exploded open. Children poured out like caffeinated zombies. "CAKE TIME!" they shrieked in unison. Bill grabbed Molly's arm. "Abort! Abort!" They sprinted toward the fence, purple and orange wigs flying behind them, empty-handed and dignity-free. "Next time," Bill panted, "we rob adults."
