Molly spread the hand-drawn map across the sticky diner table, her eyes gleaming with the intensity of someone planning a bank job rather than what was essentially robbing a bunch of seven-year-olds. Bill leaned forward, squinting at her crayon-rendered blueprint of the Henderson residence. The birthday party was scheduled for Saturday at two. Seventeen children. One bouncy castle. A piñata shaped like a dinosaur that Molly had already marked as a secondary target. Bill traced his finger along the back fence route, mentally calculating the distance from the gate to the gift table on the patio. "We go in during the cake," Molly whispered. He nodded slowly.
